Andrew,

I suspect that the one true proprietary item of the ucsimm is the layout, the wire
run artwork. Hence, the copyright is silkscreened onto the medium with which the
artists worked, the PCB.

I, or you, could come up with different art, and claim copyright to it. Not being a
wirehead... er, an EE, it's likely mine would just look perdy, at best.
