Hi,
Ive (finally!) gotten pppd and chat to work on our 5206EC3 board (great work
uClinuxers!). I dont know anything about uCDimm so if your problem is actually
uCdimm, I dont think I could help you. Furthermore Im a bit of a newbie.
Im a bit perplexed by the statement "pppd and chat do nothing". Does this
mean when used together or separately? What have you tried? Id verify first
that chat works by itself. Invoke it in verbose mode.
I'd next try to invoke pppd without chat and see if the screen dump (or the
dump to a serial port) resembles a pppd packet. Only then would I try to
invoke pppd and chat together, invoking pppd with debugging options, and if
that stil isnt helpful, Id invoke it with kernel debugging. It also helps to
have read the PPP-HOWTO but I guess you know that by now.
