Hello Vadim, You wrote: > You can simply download the toolchain from our site: > aplionet.aplio.fr/uclinux That is where we started, but this version generates a bug when compiling uClinux. See the following message for details about this bug: http://www.uclinux.org/pub/uClinux/archive/0740.html I still don't have an answer on the following questions, maybe you can help me out: - Why can't I use the GCC -fpic or -fPIC options to create Position Independent code? Do I need the patches from Philip Blundell and you for uClinux? And some new: - Why should one want to disable the GOT? - Is this disable GOT option only relevant for uClinux tagets, or for each arm-elf target? In an answer from Philip Blundell I understand that your disable GOT patch is probably not installed in the current development tree because there where a few concerns about the patch. Could you please supply the correct patch, so that this patch will be incorporated in the next GCC release. This will help the arm-uClinux committee a lot. Thanks in advance and best regards, Martijn Schipper. This message resent by the uclinux-dev@uclinux.org list server http://www.uClinux.org/
