That is where we started, but this version generates a bug when compiling
uClinux.

I still don't have an answer on the following questions, maybe you can help me
out:
- Why can't I use the GCC -fpic or -fPIC options to create Position Independent
code? Do I need the patches from Philip Blundell and you for uClinux?

And some new:
- Why should one want to disable the GOT?
- Is this disable GOT option only relevant for uClinux tagets, or for each
arm-elf target?


In an answer from Philip Blundell I understand that your disable GOT patch is
probably not installed in the current development tree because there where a few
concerns about the patch. Could you please supply the correct patch, so that
this patch will be incorporated in the next GCC release. This will help the
arm-uClinux committee a lot.
