Alright; I get that part, I think. The 68010 core now... is that also referred to as the EC000 core? How does the EC300 core fit in? Now the ColdFire -- this is a different beast entirely... Based on the CPU32 core the various incarnations of the ColdFire processors have different peripherals integrated on the chip, yes? DragonBall is a 68k series processor based on the '302 which is from the 68000 as you stated... Generally speaking then, are the DragonBall and ColdFire CPUs similar in the respect that they both take a core and build on various peripherals but different in the respect that they use different cores? I'm quite familliar with how the Microchip PIC and even Intel x86 platforms are structured...
