I guess you are the first to test multicast :-)

It was originally the FEC driver for the MPC860 (it uses
the same ethernet core). And it was not in a completely
working and tested state when I started converting it for
use with the 5272. I have had to fix numerous problems,
mostly in initial development with it.

That looks like it was from the MPC860 support.
I don't recall those registers in the 5272 FEC.
