Hello Zhang, 1st of all, we'd better change the subject line - hopefully more interest and more help :). My hacking as for now is currently compiling - I have not changed many things yet. So far, the main include files (based on the original MC68EZ328.h) need to be changed quite a lot - at least a thorough check. I haven't finished on this one yet but made some other definition changes here and there based on grepping for 68EZ328. Some of the VZ registers and newly defined/added like CLKO enabled is reversed so need to change some bits there. The next thing I plan to do tomorrow or later is on the initialization and clock definitions. At the moment, I think I just want to let the ADS work with UART1 first as it is a direct descendant from EZ. I think this task will be very easy for you (not me) - if you are an experienced programmer and know how the Linux kernel works. Like I mentioned before, hardware wise - many compatibilities between EZ and VZ. I have quite a "headache" trying to understand why some files exist - so far some portions of the codes give many helpful comments. I just wish more info on how uClinux starts up, how it looks for drivers and so on are available. Perhaps, I should take a look at Linux From Scratch... I also wonder why adding another some similar lines, actually almost a direct copy, for EZ serial support to config.in made the selection impossible when I "make xconfig". Maybe the code itself doesn't like being copied ..ha..ha.. A workaround for this is I move-up my booleans on top of EZ ADS serial selections and I was able to set for 68328 serial support. But none of EZ ADS boards has serial support selection now. Anyways, since I'm not compiling for EZ, that's OK. IMHO, uClinux codes needs a lot of polishing, if we want to make uClinux stable and attractive to other embedded sys prog'ers. Maybe oneday...Or, maybe Lineo already did that.
