Hi, I'm trying to get ISC dhcp and dns built for the uClinux uCsimm
and am having a lot of trouble, mostly in the linking phase of the
build. I keep running into errors like:
m68k-pic-coff-ranlib ../lib/libbind.a make[1]: Entering directory
`/usr/local/packages/bind-dragon/src/bin'
/usr/local/packages/bind-dragon/src/bin/addr make[2]: Entering directory
`/usr/local/packages/bind-dragon/src/bin/addr' m68k-pic-coff-gcc
-D_GNU_SOURCE -fomit-frame-pointer -Werror -I../../port/dragon/include
-I../../include -c addr.c m68k-pic-coff-gcc -D_GNU_SOURCE
-fomit-frame-pointer -Werror -o addr addr.o \
../../lib/libbind.a -lfl
../../lib/libbind.a: could not read symbols: Archive has no index; run
ranlib to add one
Is the source for your version of dhcp
available?
What does your Makefile look like?
I know I'm missing something probably really simple and general to the
uClinux build environment/process here, but haven't found anything
that answers my questions in the archives.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
