What is extremely attractive is that THUM code is on average is twice as
compact as ARM code... Our actual kernel is 800K it will drop to 400K...

As I recall, all IRQ and FIQ code is _always_ ARM. So if you wanted to build
a kernel in thumb mode, you'd need to be very careful what you did in an
ISR. Also, I'm sure it would be fun to link mixed ARM/THUMB code... never
tried it, but I love a challenge.
