BOOT LOADERS

EMAIL - gerg@snapgear.com

As of 18-JULY-2007 it seems that all the following links are broken. I don't know where any of these boot loaders can now be found. EMAIL me, gerg@snapgear.com, if if you know, and I will fix these.

1. My Right Boot

This is Chris Johns' (ccj@acm.org) My Right Boot source. It is a tftp boot loader for the ColdFire eval boards. You can use this from raw hardware to network boot uClinux/ColdFire. You can get it here.

2. CoLilo

CoLilo is a ColdFire Linux Boot Loader designed as a first stage boot from FLASH or ROM for ColdFire platforms. It has support for loading compressed or un-compressed images from non-volatile storage or via a serial line. It also sets up initial chip selects, etc, to start up uClinux/ColdFire.

It is currently maintained by Ken Treis (ken@reasonability.net), (it was originally maintainted by Rob Scott(rscott@mtrob.fdns.net), Rob are you still out there?).

Supported targets are currently the Motorola M5206eLITE board, Motorola M5206eC3 board, Motorola M5249C3, Motorola M5272C3, Motorola M5307C3, Moreton Bay NETtel and SnapGear SecureEdge boards.

You can find Ken's latest package at http://www.reasonability.net/uClinux/. The HOWTO documentation is at http://www.reasonability.net/uClinux/colilo/colilo-HOWTO.html.

These links appear to be dead. Try this link, setup by Uli Franke (cls@nebadje.org).
